Conformation Awards

Currently, our boy is what I've heard called minored out on shows. He has 9 points, but has not yet won points in a major show. At this point, he's being entered in more shows than he can attend, while he shops for a major. Any show that does not turn out to have major points is a show he will skip.

Volcano received the Best of Winners award at the Antelope Valley Kennel Club dog show on 3 November 2002. He's pictured with judge Mr. Stuart R. Rogell and handler Pam Lambie.

Here our boy received the Best of Winners award at the San Luis Obispo Kennel Club Dog show on 4 October 2002. He's pictured with judge Mrs. Donna J. Buxton and handler Pam Lambie.

Volcano accumulated 4 points when shown by his breeder -- Richard Gagne. We acquired Volcano on 12 May 2002, and began entering him on 29 June 2002. He has earned 5 more points to date being shown by Pam Lambie. This is a summary of his show record to date:

That's a Lot of Shows!

If you're wondering at how many shows Volcano has participated in, this is how it goes sometimes. Our boy is near the lower end of the standard for height/weight, and is red/white. His size and color don't meet with the current fashions in Siberians in Southern California. However, we have a strong preference for well-built, muscular dogs like Volcano, and for his beautiful deep red coloring. We believe he has a great deal of promise, and like showing him. As you can see from his record, he rarely receives less than a 2nd place / reserve winner position, and often wins his class.

We believe that with time and persistence, red/white as well as pure white dogs can again become fashionable. Some of the best dogs in the breed are atypical colors like red/white and pure white, and we want very much to preserve their position in the gene pool.
