Volcano receives the Best of Winners award at the Antelope Valley Kennel Club dog show on 3 November 2002. Click here for the rest of his show record.
Here our boy receives the Best of Winners award at the San Luis Obispo Kennel Club Dog show on 4 October 2002.
We call him "Volcano" because he is very nearly the same color as the rich red volcanic earth found on our ranch. He's a sweetheart, and the name has nothing to do with his temperament. You can see the blend of colors in this photo, which was taken in our llama corral. PedigreeVolcano has a very fine pedigree, with two parents that each attained championship. AwardsVolcano's breeder Richard Gagne actively showed him a number of times, and earned 4 points with him. We've continued to show him. At this point, his point total stands at 9. We hope that we can help him finish that championship, with the able assistance of his new handler. More photos
Volcano's becoming well adjusted to his handler, Pam Lambie. Now that his coat is coming back in and he's gotten so much more accustomed to showing his stuff, we're thinking he's poised to win more points! A championship can't be far behind.
Here's Ellen Cottingham handling Volcano at one of the Ventura shows this year. She was very helpful to us while we got Volcano ready to go, and referred us to Pam, who lives only a few miles from us as the crow flies. Dog shows can be busy, and we think our beautiful red boy really stands out, even in a crowd of beauties like these boys! This page was last modified on
