Emryld Siberian's Volcano + G.T. Breeding
A litter of nine (!) puppies (AKC WS145776) was delivered on August 24th to our
G.T. and
Volcano. Eight of these
puppies are male, and one is female. Most of them are black/white, but a few of
them are red/white.
This breeding is unusual for us because of G.T.'s age. We had not intended
for her to be bred this year at all, and had intended to wait to breed any of
our dogs until 2006 because all of us need a break so we can concentrate on
building our house. Our Siberians apparently did not agree, so here we are with
an unexpected litter of nine. The mating is believed to have occurred
through the mesh of the kennel wall, as G.T. was never allowed to share a kennel
with any of our males.

All of these puppies will be placed with families on a
spay/neuter
agreement. That means that their registrations are marked "limited" and they are
not to be used for breeding. All of the puppies will receive the
following care:
- they are wormed with Nemex II
beginning when they are 2 weeks old
- their first puppy shots
will
be given at 6 1/2 weeks of age,
and their second shots will be given at 9 1/2 weeks of age if they are still
with us at that time
- each puppy will be implanted with an
AVID microchip prior to leaving our care.
- puppies are released to their new homes starting at 8 weeks of age, which
should be on or after 13 April 2005.
Eye Color
Most of the puppies are blue-eyed. Two are bi-eyed, and one is parti-eyed.
