Emryld's Priority Pick System

Getting on the Pick List

Your place on our pick list is reserved when we receive your deposit. Our contact page has information on how to make a deposit.

Making your Pick

At six weeks of age, each litter is evaluated to determine which puppies appear to be the best show prospects. The remaining puppies, which are beautiful and equally loyal and loving pets, are placed with families under a spay/neuter agreement. Their AKC registrations are marked limited and they are not to be used for breeding.

We expect and strongly encourage families to visit the ranch, and play with the puppies so they can get familiar with their personalities prior to making a selection. While we believe every well-socialized Siberian is an excellent choice for knowledgeable Siberian-friendly families, Siberians can differ widely in personality. You may find that the puppy with the looks you like best may not be your choice once you get to know them.

Breeder Pick

As the breeder, we reserve the right to keep any or all show prospect puppies from each litter. We also reserve the right to choose a responsible show or pet family as the recipient of our priority pick in our stead at our sole discretion.

Pick Order

All pet placement picks are made in the order of receipt from families. If a family does not find a suitable puppy in the first available litter, the deposit may be transferred to the next available litter. If the family does not wish to transfer their deposit, it will be refunded in accordance with our refund policy.

Litter Designation

A puppy pick can be designated to apply to a particular litter. Picks can be designated for a future breeding, or for a current breeding. Please contact us for information about our future breeding intentions, as we do not currently post information on the web unless the breeding has already occurred. Our Siberians have been known to foil our best intentions with breedings. Once you've lived with a Siberian Husky, you'll understand how that can happen.

Your responsibilities

When you reserve a pick from a particular litter, it is up to you to be sure that you have made a selection as early as you can in the process. That helps the people with a pick in order behind yours to get their choices made. First pick families have the most responsibility in this, as delays can inconvenience several other families.

To avoid disappointments, we require that families make their priority pick choice at no later than 6 weeks of age. That means we will need your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices by the end of the weekend each litter turns 6 weeks old. Picks may be changed later at any point up until the puppies go home, but at that point will only be made from those puppies that have not already been selected by another family.
